Overview: Depending on what you are working on, notecards can be viewed and edited from (a) the Notecard Tabletop View, (b) the Notecard Detail View or (c) the Sources screen. When you are taking notes on a particular source, the Sources screen is the most efficient place to do that, ensuring that the notecards you author are linked to the proper source citation.

Instructions


Step 1:

Navigate to your project's Sources screen.



Step 2:

To create a new notecard for a citation, click "New" next to your citation in the Notecards column. 



If you have one or more notecards linked to this citation, clicking the orange "Notecards" icon will display the contents of those notecards below the citation (click the icon again to close them).



Step 3:

To edit an existing notecard, click the blue Options button and select "Edit." 



Step 4:

Click the Save and Close button in the "Edit notecard" (or "New notecard") window when you are done to return to the Sources screen.
