How to switch a project's level to Starter, Junior, or Advanced

Modified on Sat, Jul 17, 2021 at 4:59 PM

Overview: When you initially create a project in NoodleTools, you'll select a "level" (Starter, Junior, or Advanced) that determines the variety and complexity of the citation forms available. You can change the level at any time, if it turns out the current one doesn't meet your needs.

This article applies to:

✔︎ NoodleTools School Subscription

✔︎ NoodleTools Individual License

NoodleTools MLA Lite

  NoodleTools Express

Note: NoodleTools MLA Lite and NoodleTools Express always use "Advanced" level citation forms and cannot be changed.

Instructions

Step 1:

Navigate to the Projects screen.

Step 2:

Under the project's title, click its current level or click "More" (three dots) next to the project and choose "Change level" from that dropdown menu.

Step 3:

In the panel that opens, under "Change Citation Level," select the new level and click Submit.

Hint:

If your project is a collaboration, the project cannot be changed while other students have the project open. You can check who is under "Who's online" next to the open project's name. Once all other collaborators have opened a different project or logged out, you'll be able to change the project's level.
