This article applies to:

✔︎ NoodleTools School Subscription

 NoodleTools Individual License

✔︎ NoodleTools MLA Lite

 NoodleTools Express

Note: The URL for the NoodleTools administration area is https://my.noodletools.com/support/. Please refer to the "NoodleTools Subscription Activation" email we sent you for your school's unique admin login credentials. If you cannot find it, contact NoodleTools via the helpdesk for assistance.

How to reset a password for a user

Note: This does not apply if your school uses SSO (Google, Microsoft 365, Clever, or ClassLink) for access, in which case password management is external to NoodleTools.

In the admin area under "User Management," search for the user's ID/email. If there is no result, you can try searching using the other fields (the user's initials or the last 4 digits of the phone number they entered when they registered). Click the hyperlinked ID in the results list to edit their profile. Enter a new password and save.

How to switch a student-type account to a teacher-type account (or vice versa)

If a user selected the wrong account type when they registered, search for the user under "User Management" in the admin area and click the hyperlinked ID in the results list to edit their profile. Under "Folder type," choose the proper account type and save.

Nothing happens when trying to export sources, notecards, outline, etc.

Make sure the browser is not blocking pop-up windows. Check the browser's settings to turn off the pop-up blocker for the NoodleTools domain (my.noodletools.com).

How to make sure only current students are using NoodleTools

If your school uses SSO (Google, Microsoft 365, Clever or ClassLink) for access, students who graduate will no longer have access to NoodleTools since they will no longer have access to that SSO service.

If your school uses a username/password for access, change the school password every summer in the admin area if possible. The option to do that is under "Subscription Management > Change Password(s)."
