How to broadcast a message to students

Overview: Do you have a reminder you want to send to the whole class? Is there a writing prompt you'd like them all to respond to? A "broadcast" message is the best way to facilitate that.

Instructions

Step 1:

On the Inboxes screen, next to the inbox's name, under the More menu, select "Broadcast."

Step 2:

In the window that pops up, enter your comment or writing prompt. Every student who is currently sharing a project with the inbox will receive this broadcasted message. Just like with individual comments, check "Require response" if you do not want students to mark it "Done" without writing a response.

Step 3:

Click Submit.

Step 4:

In the student's project, your broadcasted message appears on their General Project Comments panel.
